Breezy BioCare™ RTU Is Reaching End of Life — Better Options Are Here
Breezy BioCare™ RTU (BioCare) has served our customers well for years, but we’re excited to announce its next evolution. Breezy Med is discontinuing BioCare at the end of 2025 and transitioning to two superior disinfectants — Breezy HaloSpray™ (HaloSpay) for healthcare use and Breezy BioPure™ (BioPure) for non-healthcare use.
Both solutions are fully tested and qualified for every application where BioCare was previously used — with faster room turnover and improved performance.
Why We’re Making This Change
BioCare’s quaternary ammonium (quat) ingredient takes significantly longer to dissipate after aerosolization. This can extend room re-entry time and limit daily throughput. HaloSpray and BioPure use advanced hydrogen-peroxide-based formulations that achieve the same or better germicidal results with quicker dissipation — meaning rooms can return to service sooner.
All Breezy disinfectants are validated using Bacillus atrophaeus biological indicators, the gold standard for verifying whole-room efficacy. Both HaloSpray and BioPure achieve complete spore inactivation under Breezy Blue® fogging protocols — the same protocols provided by our Fogging Time Calculator.
